Under ‘one roof’ – MTE makes major investment in trussed roof plant
MTE is now able to undertake every aspect of timber frame construction in house following its decision to invest more than £100,000 investment in trussed roof plant.
Until recently MTE bought in trussed rafters but thanks to this major investment in Roof Truss and metal web joist equipment now has the capability to make them in-house.
This move not only allows MTE to offer customers a complete service but also gives the company ultimate control over every aspect of its business – ensuring the highest standards of quality.
Additionally it will also enable MTE to remain at the forefront of timber engineering innovation so the company can grow and diversify in line with the construction market’s needs.

MTE near completion of multimillion pound contract in Bristol.
Working for a leading national developer, MTE Designed, Manufactured and erected the Timber Frame superstructure for a care village for the elderly.
The scheme comprised a total of eight Blocks of 2 and 3 story self-contained living accommodation apartments. Seven of the blocks are continuously linked, allowing the residents to gain access from one end of the building to another to utilise the amenities included within the care village. As well as the superstructure MTE provided extensive carpentry works including glu-lam beam structures which formed walkways and balconies.
The whole site was constructed well within the 27 week allocated program.

MTE have successfully completed the timber frame superstructure 2 weeks ahead of a 22-week build program.
The three-story building for a major national builder forms a 'care village'
for the visually impaired for the RNIB in Wolverhampton.
The building comprises of approximately 80 self-contained living accommodation rooms as well as restaurant, communal and social areas.
